also known as Bangko Bangko Beach.

on its day can break up to 300 meters, growing in
size from takeoff to end. Best between 3-8
ft.Surfing in Lombok is much less hassle than in
Kuta Beach Bali.
Kuta Beach & South Coast of Lombok (The Gerupuk
Beach) also offer good quality of surf. You may need
to hire boat from locals to take you to some of the
wave's point. If you stay in Kuta Beach Lombok, ask
around, many locals surfer will guide you to find
the waves.
Lombok Island is "surfers' paradise". Waves are
excellent and many good surf points, such as Mawi,
Mawun and etc include "Point X", along South coast
of Lombok.
Lombok Surfing Spots Information
Lombok its to the east of Bali, the coastline of
Lombok meets the Indian Ocean, which makes this
coastline spectacular in it's rugged beauty. With
its many bays accommodating various swell angles an
prevailing wind, it is possible to find good waves
most days all year round. The waves are mostly reef
breaks and are greatly influenced, by the tides. The
waves range from fun and full to fast and furious,
with spots for all levels, from beginners to
experienced.
As with other areas of Indonesia, the best surf
season in this area occurs between the months of
April and October but there are plenty of breaks to
tempt you all year round. These breaks work well
when the winds and swell change direction.
The best known surf break in Lombok is Desert Point,
but there are plenty of other options for all
standard of surfers with nine major surfing
destinations located all around the Lombok coast.
