Day 01: ARRIVAL IN BALIKPAPAN SANGATTA
Meet at airport and directly transfer to Sangatta
town for overnight on hotel. Free at your own
leisure. (D)
Day 02: SANGATTA KUTAI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, driving to Kabo village for cruise
up to Mentoko by motorized canoe and then soft
trekking in the jungle to observe wild orangutan. In
the afternoon, we will trek other trails for more
exploring orangutans and other wildlife. In the
peaceful evening, we will have a night safari for
observing nocturnal animals such as tarantula,
insects, birds, and many more. Lunch will be served
en route, dinner and overnight on research camp of
Mentoko. (B,L,D)
Day 03: KUTAI NATIONAL PARK SAMARINDA
In the morning, we will be trekking in different
trail of the jungle to observe orangutans, monkeys,
birds, insects, etc. Next, we will cruise down the
Mentoko River back to Kabo village for catching our
car to drive to Samarinda for overnight on hotel. (B,L,D)
Day 04: SAMARINDA KOTA BANGUN MUARA MUNTAI
After breakfast, we will drive to Kota Bangun for
about 4 hours, and then cruise up Semayang and
Melintang Lake for sightseeing unique life of
villagers and beautiful panorama of the lakes.
Afterwards, transfer to Muara Muntai for overnight
on lodge. Lunch will be served en route, dinner and
overnight on lodge. (B,L,D)
Day 05: MUARA MUNTAI MANCONG KOTA BANGUN
BALIKPAPAN
Proceed to Mancong by motorized canoe crossing the
Jempang Lake of which we will have the opportunity
to view many migratory water bird species and
fishermen floating houses as well as the romantic
Ohong River where proboscis monkeys, monitor lizards
and other wild animals are hanging around at
riverside. In Mancong, we will explore an exotic
longhouse and Benuaq Dayak daily life. Afterwards,
proceed to Kota Bangun for catching our car to drive
to Balikpapan for overnight on hotel. (B,L,D)
Day 06: DEPARTURE
Breakfast at hotel and free at your own leisure till
the proper time for transferring to airport for your
next destination. (B)
